Currently Coveting

Last Saturday during an errand run I took a quick trip into Target.  It truly was to pick up some toiletries and things I needed around the house, until I may have accidentalely stumbled into the clothing and accessory department.  I normally get severe ADD in Target anyway, but that day it was pretty ridiculous.  There new spring bags are INSANE.  The colors, styles, structures of the bags are to die for.  One of my primary issues with Target bags is that they tend to appear a bit cheap ( you know the typical saggy soft faux leather bags).  These bags looked nothing short of luxury.  Ordinarily, when we think of spring we tend to think of bright neon's and floral prints (which these bags definitely included), but I loved the large selection of navy and white color blocked and striped bags.  This is a great spring switch up for the office girl who doesn't want to get to colorfully wild in the workplace.  Overall I was totally enamored with these bags. Target never disappoints me but they definitely went above and beyond with these beauties.

Some Pinspirations

Pinterest Oh Pinterest how I love you.  I mean really, who came up with this wonderful website.  I often find myself trapped with a fashion brain freeze when getting ready to leave the house. There's so many trends, so many different fashionable options I could choose, its hard to figure out which one to go with on which day.  Needless to say some times it can be a bit overwhelming for a girl.  I have realized as of recent my current obsession is faux fur vests.  During a recent twitter style chat I came to the realization that I may have missed out on the "perfect" time to buy a good faux fur. What is the perfect time you say?  Well if your a frugalista like me than you try to get all your winter shopping done at the end of the season.  EVERYTHING is so cheap then.  The stores are basically throwing their winter apparel at you trying to make room for the colorful items spring has in store.

So unfortunately since I missed the faux fur bus I have been pinteresting,  blog stalking,  google searching my life away trying to find the perfect one. Here are just a few faux fur vest outfits that really had me swooning.  Help a gal out... where do you find your "perfect" faux fur vest for the winter?

The wonderful world of christmas sales

February 12, 2014

Top: JCrew| Pants: H&M (Similar here)| Boots: Madden Girl| Watch: Aldo (Very Similar here)|Bracelet: Forever 21 (Similar here)| Earrings: a million years old

One of the best part of Christmas ( besides the family and food) is all the wonderful gift cards you get.  I never ask for specific items, I am one of those people that believes there is no better gift than a gift card.  That pretty much means I have no idea what I want and it could change at the drop of a hat.  So this Christmas I asked for numerous JCrew gift cards.  Per my typical shopping technique I took my gift cards walked straight to the sale rack (seriously I don't think I've ever seen any other part of the store) and went to work.  What did I pull out you say?  Well among a few other items this awesome peplum top was one of them.

Word to the wise, I can't say it enough, the after Christmas sale at every store is epic.  Although online this shirt is retailing well below the original sellling price, during the sale I was able to get it for $25.00 yes you read correctly this was not a typo.  Did you guys get any good deals after Christmas?

Gimme Please.......

Gimme please

OneTwo|Three|Four|Five|Six

Lately I have been literally in a shopping withdrawal.  I'm trying so hard to be a good little grown up and to limit my shopping, and take care of my bills.  So how does this junkie get her fix?  The wonderful world of online window shopping.  My current obsession is tortoise shell jewelry. JCREW ( as we all know is one of my favvvvvorite stores) always has the best jewelry ever, but unfortunately they are way out of this gals price range.  So today I decided to go on a quest for more affordable equally cute pieces.  Enjoy.

PS.  Yes, I did throw a random leopard coat in the mix but hey its been on my wish list for a very long time,  can't blame a girl for wishing.

Michael Costello Fashion Show #NYFW

February 9, 2014

This weekend has been a real whirlwind.... but DEFINITELY in a good way.  My wonderful cousin Ryan made all my dreams come true and was able to somehow get us tickets to the Michael Costello show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.  How he did it I surely couldn't tell you, but I didn't question it I just sat back and enjoyed.

So lets rewind just a bit here.  The days leading up to the show was extremely anxiety provoking for me.  Figuring out what would be considered as " the perfect outfit" was far too much pressure for one girl to deal with.  After countless hours of shopping,  trying on outfit after outfit, hours of surfing the web for "NYFW street style"  I finally had an epiphany.  WHO CARES!!! And I do mean that in the kindest and most politically correct way.  Fashion is based on our own perception of what you love.  What looks and feels good to us; individually.  No matter what we put on there will always be someone who doesn't like it but OH WELL and GOOD RIDDENS.  If you like it, if you put it on and you feel sexy, confident, happy, beautiful, WHATEVER then you wear it and wear it with pride.  Although my outfit (as you can see in the last picture) was very basic I loved it.  It was mix of exactly what I wanted.  The sheer floral robe was just the perfect amount of girly while the body con maxi dress gave off just enough sexy with the high split.  And just to play on that little bit of sex appeal (remember less is ALWAYS more)  I added a pair of fishnet stockings to up the ante.

OK now fast forward to the show.  It was truly amazing.  The pieces in this collection reminded me very much of the infamous Beyonce Grammy dress, which was a great thing.  There was lots of lace over sheer fabric, with floral patterns and intricate beading.  Although the dresses could have been considered by some as very revealing it was truly in the most tasteful fashion.  LOVED IT.  Really was to die for.

This was an experience that I will never forget, and hopefully is only the beginning of many more fashion shows and fashion events to come for me and my blog.  For more pics of the show please check out my instagram.

Camille
